Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) Assembly - Driver module PCBA + Futaba Display (recycled)
This is the complete display-and-driver assembly: a real Futaba vacuum fluorescent display with the kind of glow that makes modern screens look half-asleep.
It is for costume designers, DIY cosplay fans, prop builders, retro-tech obsessives, and anyone who sees a bright blue-green phosphor display and immediately starts thinking about where it belongs.
The driver board came from the documented production run in China. The VFD was salvaged from an 80s Corolla and was soldered onto it by hand here in Seattle. The final assembly being sold is made in USA, bench-tested, and part of a very small leftover batch from the original run.
It also works with the u8g2 library, which means this can become part of a real project instead of just sitting on a shelf looking dangerous.
